Therigatha inside Aura (working title)

A major work of vocal chamber music by Chinary Ung, setting text from the early Buddhist collection of Pali poems by Buddhist nuns the Therigatha.  Awarded an NEA ArtWorks Grant, this piece is scheduled for premiere at Scripps College on March 24, 2018, as part of the culmination of a week devoted to the healing function of arts in post-genocide Cambodian society. Performers include Anne Harley and Stacey Fraser, sopranos;  Susan Ung, viola; Nick Terry, percussion; Brian Walsh, clarinets. Other performances are also planned for Chapman University, and for California State University at San Bernardino. BuddhistAngkor
